London's Borough Market history, operations and ownership are a mystery to most of 21.5 million people that visit every year. Such questions only even occasionally distract those of us who wonder about such things as we navigate the wonderful chaos of one-of-a-kind delights.

Yesterday, a group of urbanOvation members joined a tour organised by Jeremy Salmon and led by Stephen Wall, Borough Market’s Head of Asset Management. Stephen shared the incredible backstory of the Market as well as the challenges and lessons learned of running such a unique venue.

More broadly, the visit underscored the power of authentic urban destinations and unique places to deliver extraordinary experience and create value.
