Recently, urbanOvation in partnership with SQUARE hosted a 'Long Table' lunch with Iberian real estate executives to explore the implications of AI on cities and the real estate industry. The event was kindly hosted by Merlin.
Artificial Intelligence is a technology whose disruptive potential has likened to the Internet and even electricity for its capacity to transform humanity. AI evangelists believe it will accelerate advances in medicine, help conquer cancer and climate change and lead us to a utopian future. Pessimists see a dystopian future where AI eliminates hundreds of millions of jobs and ultimately subjugates mankind.
Dani Jiménez, Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), set the stage with a fantastic overview of AI technologies. He shared examples of striking applications today and what can we expect in the next few years.
